The Delphi TechniqueWhat Is It? How do we defuse it

The Delphi Technique was originally conceived as a way to obtain the opinion of experts without necessarily bringing them together face to face.  In recent times, however, it has taken on an all new meaning and purpose.  In Educating for the New World Order by B. Eakman, the reader finds reference upon reference for the need to preserve the illusion that there is "…lay, or community, participation (in the decision-making process), while lay citizens were, in fact, being squeezed out."  The Delphi Technique is the method being used to squeeze citizens out of the process, effecting a left-wing take over of the schools, governments and idealism.

A specialized use of this technique was developed for teachers, the "Alinsky Method" (ibid, p.123).  The setting or group is, however, immaterial; the point is that people in groups tend to share a certain knowledge base and display certain identifiable characteristics (known as group dynamics).  This allows for a special application of a basic technique. The use of this method works best if you control the data being fed to the participants such as media, or internet information.

The change agent or facilitator goes through the motions of acting as an organizer, getting each person in the target group to elicit expression of their concerns about a program, project, or policy in question.  The facilitator listens attentively, forms "task forces," "urges everyone to make lists," and so on.  While s/he is doing this, the facilitator learns something about each member of the target group.  S/He identifies the "leaders," the "loud mouths," as well as those who frequently turn sides during the argument — the "weak or noncommittal". Facebook is the perfect setting for this to take place in.

Suddenly, the amiable facilitator becomes "devil's advocate."  S/He dons his professional agitator hat.  Using the "divide and conquer" technique, s/he manipulates one group opinion against the other.  This is accomplished by manipulating those who are out of step to appear "ridiculous, unknowledgeable, inarticulate, or dogmatic."  S/He wants certain members of the group to become angry, thereby forcing tensions to accelerate.  The facilitator is well trained in psychological manipulation.  S/He is able to predict the reactions of each group member.  Individuals in opposition to the policy or program will be shut out of the group. And made ineffective or shunned

The method works.  It is very effective with parents, teachers, school children, voters and any community group, or government.  The "targets" rarely, if ever, know that they are being manipulated.  Or, if they suspect this is happening, do not know how to end the process.

The desired result is for group polarization, and for the facilitator to become accepted as a member of the group and group process.  S/He will then throw the desired idea on the table and ask for opinions during discussion.  Very soon his/her associates from the divided group begin to adopt the idea as if it were their own, and pressure the entire group to accept the proposition in effect they own the idea as their own and even taking full credit for its conception.

This technique is a very unethical method of achieving consensus on a controversial topics in group settings.  It requires well-trained professionals who deliberately escalate tension among group members, pitting one faction against the other as in the left right dynamics, but keep in mind this can also be used in reverse as a unification process to join the two sides by pointing out these obvious facts, in effect the use of reverse psychology, so as to make one viewpoint appear ridiculous so the other becomes "sensible" whether such is warranted or not. The best foundation to deal with this is to remain emotionless and use the hard data to analyze what is happening and I suggest grounding yourself in the teachings of the bible and the word of Jesus Christ. Reject any substitute or replacement.

This Delphi techniqueis based on the Hegelian Principle of achieving Oneness of Mind through a three step process of thesis, antithesis, and synthesis.  In thesis and antithesis, all present their opinion or views on a given subject, establishing views and opposing views.  In synthesis, opposites are brought together to form the new thesis.  All participants are then to accept ownership of the new thesis and support it, changing their own views to align with the new thesis.  Through a continual process of evolution, Oneness of Mind will supposedly occur. One of the reasons many in Washington want to force a constitutional convention is to open it up for this process, and take to heart once you open it up it is all up for discussion not just the item being addressed. Know this simple truth!

The theory of the Delphi and the reality of the Delphi are, obviously, quite different — the reality being that Oneness of Mind does not occur but only the illusion of Oneness of Mind with those who refuse to be Delphi'd being alienated from participating in the process. This is why the illusion of democracy is being pushed all over the world. Take this simple fact that the USA is not a democracy but a republic, yet many accept the lie we are a democracy, and why many are on the enemy list for their standing for our constitution.

While proponents of education reform, Unionization, and government feel they are quite justified in this, the effect of this unethical manipulation of people is to create polarized camps.  In an effort to maintain the process, advocates have marketed a plethora of publications (such as What's Left After the Right, No Right Turn and If You Don't, They Will) intended to label, castigate, and alienate anyone who does not go along with them. They use catch phrases such as, homophobe, islamaphobe, rightwinger, birther, truther, racist, and the list goes on and many will self identify with these titles furthering the dynamic of the labels.  As a result, many come to understand that their role in education, union, or government reform is merely perfunctory; that the outcome is preset, that they are not but the rah-rah team so when opposition does arise, advocates of reform can say, "we had community input."

To make sure that the situation is controlled, only those individuals who agree with the process are allowed on the restructuring teams.  New participants are carefully screened to ensure that all reform goes forward unquestioned. Keep this in mind before you vote and think you are getting real change!

If measurable opposition persists, advocates are told, get the local ministers on board.  Take steps to neutralize, by whatever means necessary, the opposition.  In some places, opponents have been harassed, both at home and on the job, personal property has been damaged and vandalized, people have lost their jobs and worse.  Anyone who does not go along with the restructuring of our society is susceptible to the totalitarian tactics of those promoting world reform – whether it be parents, teachers, principals, superintendents, cops, soldiers, firefighters the list is endless as we have seen many jailed for seeking truth about Obama’s birth and school records.  The need exists for advocates to maintain an iron grip on the process.  They cannot, for instance, withstand open public debate of the issues.  Therefore, they do not partake in public forums unless they are controlled.  They cannot withstand the criticism, so they close every avenue for advocates to address the issues.  They are rapidly creating, through their divisive tactics, a volatile situation.  America is being torn apart.

Parents, citizens, teachers and even government workers, who are opposed to the new purpose being given our American  governmental system need tools to withstand the process being used to bring it in — against the Delphi Technique and consensus which, through their basis in the Hegelian Principle, have Marxist connections and purposes.

First, no opportunity must be left untaken to expose this unethical, divisive process.  Second, when this process is used, it can be disrupted.  To do so, however, one must be able to recognize when the Delphi Technique is being used,  and how do we disrupt it before it goes too far.

Defusing the Delphi technique

There are many ways to defuse those who use the Delphi technique and try to lead and manipulate others to preconceived notions but not all settings are the same so variations to what I teach here will vary depending on the application it is applied to. Many of understanding call this technique “Trap-Dooring” or change for change. The simplest and most effective method to defeat the Delphi technique is for everyone in the meeting to know about it, but we all know this is not always possible but assume you’re at a town hall meeting one idea that can be useful is to prior to the meeting simply make many copies of what the Delphi Technique is (and how its used and pass out copies! Truth is a most powerful weapon).

That could be as simple as printing and making 500 copies of the document. If there is a 'facilitator' in the meeting try to see if you can see this tactic at work. Do you think this is a acceptable method of democracy and fairness where everyone’s rights are being equally respected?? I don't think so either. This is how they get consensus and start group dynamics.

Why don't we start with a polite question for him like “Are you using Delphi?”  be polite and unemotional in asking. Three steps can diffuse the Delphi Technique as facilitators attempt to steer a meeting in a specific direction.

1     Always be charming, courteous, and pleasant. Smile. Moderate your voice so as not to come across as belligerent or aggressive. Never take criticism personally and never let them get under your skin, remember it is truth that is your weapon not your anger or intellect being haughty will cause you to fail.

2. Stay focused. If possible, jot down your thoughts or questions and stick to them. When facilitators are asked questions they don't want to answer, they often digress from the issue that was raised and try instead to put the questioner on the defensive and make it personal, they also use humor to win over those watching to make you appear ignorant, foolish or enept. Many times they appear to give an answer skipping or glazing over the topic and continue on about other things rambling on to change the mindset of the listeners and make a personal attack, or never address the original question. Do not fall for this tactic.
Courteously bring the facilitator back to your original question. If he rephrases it so that it becomes an accusatory statement (a popular tactic by the left), simply say, "That is not what I asked. What I asked was . . ." and repeat your question. Always remaining calm and monotone. Stick with the truth and never sway. Always stand on truth.

3. Be persistent. If putting you on the defensive doesn't work, facilitators often resort to long monologues that drag on for several minutes. During that time, the group usually forgets the question that was asked, which is the intent. They will also try deliberately to pretend to address the issue and go to someone else to avoid any further questioning

Let the facilitator finish. Then with polite persistence state: "But you didn't answer my question. My question was . . ." and repeat your question. Never become angry under any circumstances. Anger directed at the facilitator will immediately make the facilitator the victim. This defeats the purpose and he becomes the hero. And you appear dogmatic and coarse.

The goal of facilitators is to make the majority of the group members like them and earn their trust, and to alienate anyone who might pose a threat to the realization of their agenda, or who expose this technique. At a meeting, have two or three people who know the Delphi Technique dispersed through the crowd so that, when the facilitator digresses from a question, they can stand up and politely say: "But you didn't answer that lady or gentleman's question."  This also works in chat rooms and on Facebook settings

Even if the facilitator suspects certain group members are working together, he will not want to alienate the crowd by making accusations. Occasionally, it takes only one incident of this type for the crowd to figure out what's going on, if you are in person hand out those flyers to the crowd, and if online you can always post the truth for all to see.

Establish a plan of action before a meeting. Everyone on your team should know his part. Later, analyze what went right, what went wrong and why, and what needs to happen the next time. Never strategize during a meeting. A popular tactic of facilitators, if a session is meeting with resistance, is to call a recess, the reason for this is to detract from the events and make people forget what transpired.

During the recess, the facilitator and his spotters (people who observe the crowd during the course of a meeting) watch the crowd to see who congregates where, especially those who have offered resistance. If the resistors congregate in one place, a spotter will gravitate to that group and join in the conversation, reporting what was said to the facilitator, don’t think this stuff does not happen because it does.

When the meeting resumes, the facilitator will steer clear of the resistors area. Do not congregate. Instead gravitate to where the facilitators or spotters are. Stay away from your team members.

2      Maybe the Diamond Tactic (communist tactic of crowd manipulation) will also interest you: this is a favorite used by unions and teachers for opposition.

1. Plan ahead of time what action you want the group to take: nominate or oppose a candidate, support or oppose an issue, heckle a speaker, or whatever. Everyone on your team must know exactly what they are going to do, including contingency plans.

2. Team members should arrive at the meeting separately and never congregate together or speak to each other while there.

3. Team players should arrive early enough to take seats around the outside of the assembly area, roughly in the shape of a diamond. They must not sit together. The object of the tactic is place your people around the perimeter of the audience so that, when they begin to take action, those in the center will have to do a lot of head turning to see them – to the right, then the left, then the rear of the room, then the front, etc.

The more they turn their heads, the greater the illusion of being surrounded by people in agreement with each other, and the more they will be convinced that these people represent the majority opinion and the followers will follow. The more people you can get to sit in waves of small large and larger diamonds the more convincing the suggested crowd dynamic appears.

The only way to thwart the Diamond Tactic is to always be prepared to match it with your own team. Never take a meeting for granted, especially if something important is scheduled to transpire, such as nomination of officers. Or elections, keep in mind you do not want this to get violent as this can turn if pushed too far. You don’t need large forces to control large crowds if you can come across as polite or friendly you are more likely to win the more over.

Even a simple gathering to hear an important speaker can turn into a nightmare if opponents send in hecklers. So, always plan for the worst and be prepared to spring into action with comments from the floor such as: “I want to make it clear that these people do not speak for me. I am in total opposition to what they stand for. In fact, I would like to ask them to identify themselves. Who are you? Why did you come to this meeting? What is your agenda?”

If comments such as this are heard from three or four people around the outside of the room, the meeting will be very exciting, but the tactic will be defused. For every action plan for an equal and opposite reaction. The main this is to stay engaged in the events and don’t give up but learn to adapt from mistakes made. Get friends involved and family, teach them these same tactics and always plan, plan, plan, ahead as much as possible. The reason why these people have been able to take us to where we are is because all of them are activists. I want to note here that the reason why you keep hearing about those polls and rioters in such large numbers is nothing but this same principal being played out in the media.

Defusing the Delphi online is very easy and a simple technique is very helpful when battling the facilitator also called trolls in a Forum, an effective and blunt instrument to put a total kill on manipulations in an online forum is to simply post the Delphi Technique and point out to the poster or opposition how it appears that they are using it. And give an instance of its use by the opposition. You can also post it to several similar email lists or post it to any forum of your choosing before any debate.

In the posting SHOW, where you have attempted to post an educational expose showing how crowds are manipulated (both online and off). If a change agent is running an email group they are now in a juxtaposition. If they attempt to censor the document, it will be quickly exposed in the other groups where the posting was allowed. If they DO post the document their techniques may be quickly realized. Either way make use of the strongest weapon you have available and that is the truth.

Either way they are cornered, and they have to cede their operations or face exposure for what they are, most of the time they revert to name calling. I am truly of the opinion that everyone in North America should know the Delphi Technique and be taught to resist it. I further believe that when we use the truth no weapon formed against you is going to prevail. I love this quote from the Bible about the whole armor of God and the reason why, there is nothing more powerful than the truth and we in the Christian community are blessed with the power to understand and reveal the secrets and whiles of the devil. Never underestimate the regenerated mind given you by the word and the living God’s spirit.

Ephesians 6:13-18 (New King James Version) 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day ((( this day is now!))), and having done all, to stand. ((Don’t run from the opposition, stand and face them))))
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth (((Against this no weapon formed can prevail!))), having put on the breastplate of righteousness (((Christ in you the hope of glory))), 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace (((Know the word!, the greatest book of psychology is the book of proverbs)))); 16 above all, taking the shield of faith (((Trust God and his word))) with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one ((Satan hates the truth because he is the father of lies)))). 17 And take the helmet of salvation ((A regenerated mind))), and the sword of the Spirit (((((Speak and preach salvation)))), which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints--

God tells us that there is nothing done in darkness that will not be made light and that nothing done in secret that will not be made manifest.

Now that you know the average public meeting (or online forum) can be highly manipulated from both sides, did you ever stop to think that the Hegelian Dialectic is being used at a national level by our one-mind propaganda media?
